Claes Brondal

Claes Brondal was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and has been playing drums since the age of 8.
He’s been studying with drumming greats such as Ed Thigpen, Niels Ratzer, Jonas Johansen, Lennart Gruvstedt, Marcello Salazar, Kenwood Dennard, John Amira, Dom Famularo and Gary Chaffee.
Claes is versatile in many styles of music – especially enjoying Big Band, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Afro/Cuban and Brazilian.
His “just say yes” approach landed him with many groups in the US and Europe ranging from Rock and Jazz to Turkish and Latin.

Professional credits includes recording sessions and live performances with musicians such as Tomas Frank, Poul Reimann, Bob Hovey, Misha Sakharov, James Genus, David Sanchez, Bobby Brennan, Essiet Essiet, Hector Martignon, Morris Goldberg, Kevin Kuhn, Ada Rovatti, Jim Campagnola, Randy Brecker, Ray Anderson, Lew Soloff and Hector Martignon.
His most recent recordings are with Jazz/Fusion quartet LUMA, Off The Clock from HEAR Music and The Jam Session 'Live On Thursday Nights'

This edition of the The Jam Session Radio Hour was recorded on February 12, 2015 at Wollfer Estate Vineyards in Sagaponac New York with featured guest Erik Lawrence.  Erik Lawrence plays Saxophones and Flutes. He has received a Meet-the-Composer Grant for his music composition. He began playing sax at five years old under the guidance of his father, the late jazz musician, founder of the New School of Jazz in NYC and the International Center for Creative Music Studies in Jerusalem, Rock and Roll Guru Arnie Lawrence, who told him to “Play what you feel."

The Jam Session recorded February 5, 2015 at Wollfer Estate Vineyard with Peter Martin Weiss, Wayne Sabella and Michael Guliellmo. Sitting in were Baron Lewis on trumpet, Gene Polito on Piano and Ritchie Seigler on drums.

The Jam Session with special guest Bob Mover was recorded January 26, 2014 at Bay Burger restaurant in Sag Harbor New York. Bob (Robert) Mover (born March 22, 1952, BostonMassachusetts) is an alto, tenor and soprano jazz saxophonist and a vocalist.
